DO YOU SERVE GOD?
“But
I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils,
and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. (1Cor.
1020)”
“There
is a general saying among people that, whatever means you use in calling God,
God answers. No matter your religion, no matter your belief, claims, and
sources of spiritual energy, it is all connected to God. God is one which can
be reached in varieties of ways. There is no monopolistic way to which God can
be communicated with.” Looking at this
claim, it appears to be rational. Since there is just one God, He’ll definitely
not put the eggs of getting to him in one basket. It looks so profound and
right, and obviously there are so many religions which one could join, holding
this general believe, and then worship their means of communicating to God.
Practically, sixty percent of the world population is swayed by the wind of
this idea. You know, you move from one place to the other seeking a place where
God answers very fast. You are always trying to locate the surest, cheapest,
stress-less, means of getting to God. With this idea, you just have to find a
place that suites your kind of person and get to God any how they do it.
Getting to God in this manner is more like selecting the best network service
with the cheapest call rates, regular promos, and nice tariffs for your phone
to make a call. Like this, it’s all about the joint that suites your kind of
person.
Bad news! It is quite unfortunate to
tell you that these groups of people have missed it. They’ve got it all wrong. I
like to tell you this that God is the monopolistic kind of person when it comes
to getting to Him. He passes His information, answers and even calls through
one channel, and only those who know this channel for truth are entitled to
Him. “For
there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus.
(1Tim. 25)” Here is it, there
is but one way to which man can get to God, this is through God’s only son,
Jesus Christ. The description is like a big mansion whose owner is seated on a
big chair in the mansion and a visitor who wants to enter into the mansion must
pass through the main entrance where the only the heir to the mansion can
invite you in. God is seated in His heavenly mansion and getting to Him
requires going through Jesus. “Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth,
and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. (John 146)”
This is the truth we seek for, the answer to all questions, the
solution to our problems, the life that we sought for all around. This is the
only channel, the source through which we can connect to our God. This then implies
that there is no other way by which man can be saved, by which man can gain
freedom, by which man can be saved from the eternal doom of this world, by
which man can be reconciled, by which man can be turned to face God outside
believing in God’s son, Jesus Christ. “And there is salvation in no one else, for
there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we [2]must
be saved. (Acts 412)” From the fall of man, man’s perspective
has been turned from God, and God in His mercy, to save man, sent His only
begotten son to serve as a sacrificial lamb for our sins, atonement to all our
iniquities. Jesus then is the hand that turns us face to face with God. This
implies that whosoever believes in Him is facing God and whatever he prays goes
to God. On the other hand, he that does not believe is not facing God, whatever
he speaks is not to God. “For this is the
way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who
believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 316)” The denial of Jesus is the denial of God. If you hate
Jesus, then you hate God. If you do not believe in Christ, then you do not
believe in Him that sent Him. It is more like you negating the existence of
God. “The
one who hates me hates my Father too. (John 1523)” In other
words, if you do not believe in Christ, you do not believe in God, and if you
do not believe in God, you are not serving God. It is as simple as that. The
solid, undiluted truth.
Then you begin to ask
where the answers to your prayers come from, if you are not serving God through
whatever means you think you are, then how come prayers get answered in those
places, if God is not involved? “and you will know the truth, and the truth will
set you free.(John 832)” The devil, the deceiver, would
definitely not want you to know the truth, so, he sends his demons whom you
serve to answer your prayers, because he knows that if you don’t get answers to
your prayers, you’ll seek where the truth lies and you’ll be free from his web. “Satan,
who is the god of this evil world has blinded them, unable to see the glorious
light of the gospel that is shining upon them or to understand the amazing
message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is God. (2Cor. 44)”
The devil answers your
prayers to blindfold you from seeing the truth that would free you from him.
“But

and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
(1Cor. 1020)” I
am going to tell you this, that the prayers you pray, the sacrifices you offer,
the services you render are not to God, but to the devil, to the demons who
have no good end for you but destruction.
“Therefore,
although God has overlooked such time of ignorance, he now commands all people
everywhere to repent, (Acts1730)” If you still believe in the notion that we are all
serving the same God regardless of the means, DROP IT!. Give your life to
Christ today; He is merciful and just to forgive your ignorance. This is another
chance for you to get it right, for you to be reconciled back to the most high
God, do not procrastinate, for man’s life is but a breath;
