Preach The Gospel At All Times: In Season And Out Of Season

Mark 16:15 - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
The preaching and spreading of the gospel is not an optional work given to us by Christ. What he said was that, go into all the world, and preach the gospel, not if you like you can go into the world and preach the gospel. It is like a commandment, it is what you as a believer have to do. You that are saved, stand up for the salvation of others. Are you ashamed of your faith or you are not up enough to preach the gospel. The bible says: i am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation. 

To live is Christ, to die is gain. The bible says that, to live is Christ to dies is gain, being alive for me means a fruitful labor for God. the scripture also says that you should bear fruits, fruits that remain, that lasts, eternal fruit. The only fruit that can last for eternity is the fruit of souls.

Proverbs 11:30- The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that wins souls is wise.
This is what you have been called to do, even when you are in your working place, whatever you do, winning souls is your priority.

A frend of mine, yesterday, said that, many, times when I see him quiet and gloomy, thise times are the times he thinks about his life as regards when he will die, and when he ll be going to when he dies. He told me that he was afraid of death and everything related to it. 
Well, many people think like that, people are afraid of death and some people even go ahead trying to form ignorance to it.
You should not be afraid of death. Being afraid of it makes u a slave to it and its grip, Christ has overcome death, freeing you from every form of evil slavery. Gal5:1 (It is for freedom that christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery)
You need not to enslave your self by struggling with sin because by default you are renewed not made for sin. Gal. 2:20 (I have been crucified with Christ and ino longer live, but Christ lives in me, The life I live in the body, I live by faith in son of God, who loved me and gave gave himself for me)
You are God's own John 3:9( No one who is born of God can go on sinning because God's seed remain in him)
You are not meant to be a subject, slave to anything, sin,death or whatever.
When you are in the right step with God, you should not be scared of what comes next, because it is God who is at work in you to will and to do according to His pleasures.
When you think of death at all , you should be comforted, because your life's in Christ and u dying is gain on your part, remember, to Iive is Christ to die is gain.
This gives more reason you should straighten your path with God, get closer to Him, cos He wants to get closer to you, to comfort you and give you peace of mind, to keep you from all harm and deliver you safely to His kingdom.

THE PENCIL

"A student, too impatient to read the instructions of an examination question paper, started his work, and for about thirty minutes of forty five minutes, he kept writing as though His life depended on it, which it actually did. Ten minutes to wrap up, he found out he had made a mistake in his essay and needed an extra sheet to make amends. It was at the request that he was told to check out the instructions which says: Every student is entitled to one answer sheet. Carefully choose and answer one question from the below Six questions using a pencil throughout."

Pencil, imagine if he had read the instructions and had used a pencil, then he would have been able to erase the mistakes and make amends easily without sweating.

Pencil, a seemingly unimportant and insignificant object, but carries a cloud of meaning. I think it is high time we took a recall to the reasons why we actually used pencil while we were young and why young one are still using it even in this jet generation.

Pencils are made specifically for mistakes and that explains the reason they come with erasers.

We are humans and it is ingrained in our nature to err, we always err, we are bound to make mistakes and this is a result of our imperfect nature. As clear as this is to everyone, I think it shouldn't be hard to erase our mistakes. Unlike the pencil when you have the eraser right beneath it to erase the mistake and it appears as though it never happened, humans’ mistakes will always be there but we can work around it to maintain peace with ourselves.

(Hebrews 12:14) Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man will see the Lord.

A Yoruba proverb translates, one cannot move without the head twitching. Definitely, we cannot relate with one another for so long without one party hurting the other one way or the other, through the words of the mouth, actions or what have you, but we just have to learn to forgive one another and move on in the love of Christ. A wonderful woman used to say something like, " when we cross ourselves, let's fight it out, let's abuse ourselves and trash the issue at the spot, then we continue with our play of love" Well, fighting is not good, and abusive words are profane and ungodly, but what I like about this is that, it tell you to bury the hatchet as soon as possible, don't prolong issues, you have too much to live for other that feeding on some stuffs that a friend said about you or did to you. You can get angry, it is allowed, but not too long as the bible says;

Ephesians 4:26-"Be angry but do not sin, do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger".

Get angry, but while you are angry, be careful of the things you let out and do so as not to sin, and forget about the issue as soon as possible so as not to sin against God even as you think about it. It is the joy of God that we be in one mind and peaceful relationship.

Philippians 2:2 " Fulfill ye my joy, that ye may mind the same thing, having the same love, of one soul, minding the one thing, nothing in rivalry or vain glory but in humility of mind, let each esteem others better than themselves."

Let the Love of Christ dwell richly in you even as you relate with others.

In Matthew 22:37 When the lawyer Pharisee asked Jesus about which one of the laws was the greatest, Jesus told him that "love the Lord thy God with all you heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind" And the one which follows is “Love your neighbor as yourself"

You see that after the love of God, what's next is your neighbor, those around you, how you relate with them also matters.

Speaking of the relationship men have with God, we need to understand the fact that when we say we love God, we have to obey Him and listen to what He tells us to do. We need not to struggle for he has made everything perfect through the death of Jesus. The bible says in John 15:14 that “You are my friends if you do whatever I command you" The eyes of the Lord are too holy to behold iniquities. You know when you love a girl and you do not want to do anything to hurt her, you do not want to see her cry or feel bad as a result of your actions or whatever, so you should love your God and even more than, such that you do not hurt him, with the words of your mouth,

( Ephesians 4:29- do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.),

By the things that you watch and do with your neighbor, opposite sex and yourself,

(Ephesians 5:3-4- But amongst you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because they are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving),

Or by anything you think can actually hurt the Lord your God that you claim you love.

(John14:15-If you love me, you will obey what I command)

(John3:9-10-No one who is born of God will continue to sin because the seed of God remains in Him, he cannot go on sinning because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are. Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor does anyone who does not love his brother.)

Like the pencil when you can clean of the mistake as though it never happened, when you sin against God, you can ask for forgiveness and it shall be forgiven.

(Hebrews4:16- Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.)

(2Corinthians5:17- Therefore if anyone is in Christ, He is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold, the new has come)

Now, the grace available in Christ for the forgiveness of sin is not to be taken advantage of, and keep on in sin, for a broken and contrite heart is what the Lord seeks.

Like the story of the student who got to know the details of the instructions of the question paper after it was late such is the fate of those who do not accept Christ.

(John14:6-7- I am the way, the truth and the life, no one goes to the father except through me. if you really knew me, you would know my father as well, from now on you do not know Him and have not seen Him.)

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, the only way through which man can be reconciled to God. For there is only one intermediary between man and God, Jesus.

(John5:40-44- And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honor from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only?)

(John3:16-For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.)

How would you feel if you rushed down the hallway to submit your answer sheet and you found out that you answered the right questions on the wrong sheet, or with a pen instead of a pencil? There is an opportunity for you to change your fate now, all you have to do is to accept Christ as your lord and change the course of your ship, have a turn around and become new again. All you just have to do is say a word of prayer.

Father Lord, I am sorry for my sins, I believe Christ Jesus died on the cross for my sins and he  has washed them away with His blood, I accept Jesus Christ the son of God into my life now as my personal Lord and savior, to rule and lead me into eternal life. The realness of hell.

Well, we have heard about hell here and there, but only few people realize how serious and real it is, in fact, only few christian act as though they don't want to go to hell. Until men begin to be hell conscious in their daily dealings and their association with others, people won't stop dying only to find themselves in hell. This life involves two things, is either you live it as though you are going to hell or you live it as though you are going to heaven. There is no middle-man. You can't serve God and mammon together. The bible says in revelation 3:15 that, I will rather you stay hot or cold, that is, God would rather you stay seriously cold being committed to it or zealously and consistently hot being committed to it also. See, until you realize that the issues of faith are issues that involve life and death, you won't stop joking with it, because in the real sense, Christ is not a joke, His coming into the world was not a joke, His death on the cross was not a joke, His resurrection was not a joke , His ascension was not a joke, His redemption of your soul was not a joke. Come on, why then do you joke, play games and gamble with your life? Heaven is real and Hell is real, it is better for you to change now and correct your ways before it is too late. It's high time we began choosing true words to communicate with ourselves and stop hiding under the umbrella of friendship and relationships. Its high time we preached the words of holiness, righteousness and purity and stop using breakthrough motivational words as a facade to the doom that awaits our souls if we fail to reverence the word of God.

Holiness is the key to eternal life. Heaven is real and hell is real. May God bless your soul.

God Versus The World

God ^VS world

The world will give you spoilt apple to eat and ask you how far?

God will make you face a challenge and give you power. 

The world will put you on a three-wheel chariot and say move on,

God will put you on a four-wheel chariot and say relax, I will ride on.

The world will make you squirm for mercy while they are ruthless,

God will tell you I got you covered, you have my forgiveness.

The world will put you in the war front and they will relax to eat cheese,

God will tell you, I got your back, and you hold your peace.

The world will mock you when you stumble,

God will stretch His hand and say, I’m your help in time of trouble.

The world will shun you when you fall,

God will hear your cry and answer your call.

The world will hurt and leave you to die,

God will comfort you and won’t ever make you cry.

The world will scourge you and make you suffer,

God will soothe you and remember your sins no longer.

The world will take advantage of you when you are vulnerable and powerless,

God’s power is made perfect in weakness.

The world will desert you when they know your flaw, even your loved ones too,

God says, I will receive and be a father to you.

The world won’t give you something good,

God will give you the right thing, even when you are not in the right mood.

The world will present evil as though it is right,

God is righteousness in Himself, he presents only right things.

[1]There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is destruction. We often think that all the things we do as they respect the guidelines and precepts of this world are acceptable in God’s sight. The fact that they look right to us, or the world says that they are right doesn’t mean that they are right. The devil will never give you that which is good, even when it seems right and good at sight or in reason. So if you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your life, I will advise you to do that now so that you can be secured and saved. It is quite unfortunate to be heading towards the wrong path so passionately and not knowing. The only way to living right and assured of the kingdom of God is the Way of Christ.

BORN AGAIN?

“In reply Jesus declared, i tell you truth, no one can see the kingdom of god unless he is born again” (John3³)

The word born again as you know is only used among us Christians, but it is clear that only few of those who claim to be born again know the meaning of being born again and what it actually entails. So many Christians go around flaunting the flag of being born again but it is not evident in their lives the new life they profess. The declaration of Christ was clear and plain about the status of being born again. “Jesus answered, I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of the water and the spirit. (John3⁵) The water which represents purity, new life and the washing away of the old self, and the spirit represents the ownership of God over us, and then the purity is sealed with the holy spirit of God. “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession- to the praise of His glory.”(Eph1^13-14)

Here, there is going to be more emphasis on the spirit as Jesus Himself emphasized on the Spirit and gave credence to the spirit in the justification of being born again. “Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the spirit gives birth to the spirit” (John3⁶). As we have read, being born again entails being born of water and the spirit. This spirit is the spirit of the most high God, the same spirit that was in Jesus Christ, the same spirit that rose Jesus from the dead. Our faith in Christ Jesus certifies us for the heavenly seal which is the holy spirit which was also in Jesus christ. Therefore, we are on the same side with Christ Jesus, we are brothers of Christ. “Both the one who makes men holy and the those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers”(Heb.2¹¹) This is made possible through the Holy spirit of God that lives in us. Jesus was led by the spirit and the leading was due to his acknowledgment of the holy spirit in Him.

Though it is the truth that we are sealed by the spirit as soon as we believe in christ, but the question is, how credible useful is that which you possess but not known, acknowledged and recognized? Can you actually spend the money you don’t know you have? No! Now, your brotherhood with christ Jesus, your sonship to God is not recognized until the Holy spirit is also recognized, that is the bitter truth. It is when you recognize Him in your life that you can be led by Him. “Those who are led by the spirit of god are sons of God”(Heb.8¹⁴) So, if you do not recognize Him, you do not know Him, and if you do not know Him, it is more or less like He is not in you. “What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave.”(Gal4¹) Have you seen the illustration? Though the heir has the royal blood in him, but because he is too young to know that, he can’t exhibit that potential and therefore can be handled anyhow. But when he is grown, he actualizes that potentiality of royalty and cannot be mal-handled again and he takes his position as a prince. Such is the christian who has been fixed with the Holy spirit of God, but because he refuses to grow in faith, he is still handled anyhow by the devil because he doen’t know who he is and does not recognize the spirit of God in him. Due to this lack of knowledge, he begins to fall into sin and every trap the devil lures him into. “No one who is born of God will continue in sin, because the seed of God remains in him, he cannot go on sinning because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God [2]are and who the Children of the devil are.” (1John^9-10) If you recognize the Spirit of God in you and you grow in Him and are as well led by Him, them you are God’s own because His seed is in you, but if you do not know the Holy Spirit, you have no seed of God in you. The holy Spirit is the seed of God in you and being led by Him won’t let you fall into sin.

This is really sweet because it gives an eternal joy to know that the same spirit in Christ Jesus is in you. The bible says that “yet to them that believed in His name He gave the right to become children of God-children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”(John1^12-13) When the spirit of God comes into you, it changes your earthly nature to heavenly. The flesh dies and it is rendered powerless, but a spirit cannot just be roaming the earth, so the Spirit of god gives life to the flesh. “ And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Jesus Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His spirit, who lives in you.” (Romans8¹¹) By this, you are no longer a subject to the flesh, it has no power of its own because it is dead.”I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”(Gal.2²⁰) this comes as a function of living by the Spirit, and living by the Spirit entails being led by Him.”(for if you live according to the flesh, you will die), but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live.”(Rom.8¹³). this explains the sinful lives that Christians live today, they have failed to live by the Spirit, and yet they anchor their sins on God that God tempts them. God doesn’t tempt, the Bible says “and each one is tempted, by his own desires being led away and enticed, afterward the desire having conceived, doth give birth to sin, and the sin having been perfected, doth bring forth death.”(James1^14-15) 

“(for if you live according to the flesh, you will die), but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live.”(Rom.8¹³). How can you live by the spirit if you do not know Him?

Being born again entails having a new life, having a new nature, having eternal life. A life lived in Christ with the full awareness of the leading of the Spirit. “Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again. The wind blows where it pleases, and thou hear the sound thereof, but cannot tell where it comes, and whither it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”(John3^7-8)

Can you now say you are born again when life is not found in you but death? Can life and death co-exist in the same place? Can light and darkness have a communion? Judge yourself today if you are really born again.

The grace of God covers you and you have the chance to make it right with God today, get to know the Holy Spirit in you, listen to Him and be led by Him. “As many as are led by the spirit of God are sons of God” (Rom.8¹⁴)

Maybe you are reading this and you have not accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and savior, I will like you to do so now as being sons of God in being born again applies to those who have accepted Christ into their lives. If you want to be saved now you can say this prayer: LORD JESUS, I ACCEPT THAT I AM A SINNER AND YOU DIED FOR ME AND YOU TOOK MY SINS AWAY, I ACCEPT YOU TODAY INTO MY LIFE AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR.                                                 FAITH: THE FUNDAMENTAL ISSUE

” He told them, “It was because of your little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; nothing will be impossible for you. (Matt 17²⁰)”

Faith, a common term in the Christendom. It is used by so many people who have little or no idea what it means. The bible says “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see. (Heb.11¹)” This means that with faith, we already have that which we want before we have it concretely. It also means that, through the eyes of faith, we can see the unseen, we see positivity amidst negativity. Faith changes all “impossible” to “in possible”. It is just like that, no extra baggage, just have faith.

But I’m not moving in this aspect of faith. Taking from the Mathew 17²⁰ point of view, faith, in this perspective has been misconstrued by a number of believers and even unbelievers use it to ridicule the idea of faith. “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; nothing will be impossible for you.” It’s quite funny to see someone say to a mountain to move from a place to another. Sometimes they say that a chair is smaller than a mountain, obviously, so if this chair can’t move, why waste my time with a mountain. That’s the way the mockery is been shaped and they take pride in their false theory of absurdity.

When Jesus said “mountain” He never meant “mountain” like the material mountain, it is metaphorical, and the “mountain” here is symbolic. The synoptic gospels have their different metaphorical expressions: Matthew says “mountain” and Luke says “Sycamore tree” in the KJV translation while it says “Mulberry tree” in the NET translation. Now what does it really mean, either mountain or sycamore tree, or what have you? These symbols are fixed objects they are immovable, glued to the earth, and it is quite impossible to move them. It takes days even for miners to break down a segment of a mountain. These fixed objects are symbols of impossibilities; likewise, moving it from one position to the other is an expression of possibility which takes us to the final part of the extraction “nothing will be impossible for you” This is a part most people ignore when they quote.

From the light of the spirit, the scripture, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; nothing will be impossible for you.” Does not mean you should move a physical mountain, it only says that, you can turn around the situation, position, state of things for yourself, even the seemingly impossible situations which revolve around the physical or spiritual, material or immaterial through the power of faith. Like I said earlier, it’s just like that, no extra baggage, just have faith. Faith creates water in the desert. It makes you see what no one else sees. It makes you have something long before you really have it. It keeps you going when everyone turns back. It makes you see an open gate when it is really close. It makes you hold on, even as everything around you gives you no reason to hold on. Faith makes you ignore the voices around you and makes you understand the silent voice in you. Faith keeps you calm when there is storm. “If you would just have faith like a mustard seed…”

Faith is the propelling force behind [2]a believer. In the present times, believers do not make active that indestructible power of faith as the world has even made available different devices to keep us far from God. The provisions of the world are meant for the worldly, so you shouldn’t be subjected to the rules and modus operandi of this world, for you walk by faith and not by sight. Do not you know that you are not of this world? You do not do things like it is done in the world. You are in this world, not of this world. “Jesus replied you people are from below; I am from above. You people are from this world; I am not from this world. (John8²³)” The world has set up the hospital for the faithless. You do not expect to go to the hospital to hear the doctor tell you something that will build your faith. You go to the hospital and the doctor describes an ailment in a long medical term and you begin to quiver, why then were you saved if you are still going to be subject to the principles guiding this world. So it is expected of you as a Christian to live that life of faith as displayed by Jesus. Faith is the conformity of the mind and the conviction of the spirit to the reality of God’s word.

The fact is that without faith you cannot please God, only if there is someone else you seek to please. As long as heaven is where you are headed, faith is fundamental “Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him” (Heb.11⁶). We can only have  access the heavenly, Godly treasures by faith. You can only get to know His presence, to know Him through faith. Faith forms the foundation for our salvations and with faith alone, we can get to His bosom safely. Faith activates the power of the word, it triggers our inner man, and it quickens the spirit of God within us to perfect all that concerns us. It is the basis of righteousness. “For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would inherit the world was not fulfilled through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. (Rom4¹³)” Righteousness only comes through faith in Christ Jesus. Your works do not justify you as righteous, you are a chorister, the head of your unit, you arrange for everything that happens in your church, fund your church, you follow the Ten Commandments to the letter, trust me, if you don’t have faith in Christ, you are nothing. “Yet we know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by the faithfulness of Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified. (Gal.2¹⁶)”

When you do not have faith it will be impossible for you to handle little challenges that come your way. When you do not have faith, you begin to see impossibility to every minor obstacle that crosses your path. As a Christian, a son  of God, the brother of Jesus Christ, “For indeed he who makes holy and those being made holy all have the same origin, and so he is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. (Heb.2¹¹)” it is important that you get active in exercising your faith and assume your brotherhood position with Christ.
